We no longer accept dogs in the cottages.

Many of our guests celebrate their special occasion at Dandelion and Hoglet Holiday Cottages. Our guests have celebrated birthdays, engagements, anniversaries and honeymoons whilst staying at the cottages. To make your stay even more special email Kathreen on 07552 162382 and she will be able to arrange extra special touches such as flowers and champagne.
We like to make Christmas truly magical by having festive decorations inside the Cottages and a real Christmas tree outside their entrance. We also provide all the logs you will need to make your stay cosy in front of the wood burning stove.
The closest bus route is at Bridge End, Dalston which is approximately 1.5 miles from the Cottages. The village of Dalston has a train station which is about 2 miles from the cottages.
There is no need to worry, we have plenty of parking. Dandelion and Hoglet Cottages have their own designated private parking on site.
The mobile coverage is variable with Vodafone providing a usable signal. Kathreen and Mike can provide a ‘pay as you go’ Vodafone mobile on request.

We provide a full set of bedding for Dandelion and Hoglet Cottages. All of our bedding is hypo-allergenic. There are blankets in the wardrobe and we can provide additional bed linen and pillows upon request.
Yes, absolutely. Each radiator has a thermostatic valve enabling you to control each radiator’s temperature. There is also a thermostat on the kitchen wall which prevents the heating system using too much fuel. This should be set at the lowest comfortable temperature usually around 18 degree centigrade. The cottage will heat up to the set temperature so there is no need to turn the thermostat up if it is cold outside.

Yes, you will find colour coded re-cycling bags in the utility room for paper, glass and plastic.
