The Tale of Dandelion and Hoglet

Amazing Holiday Cottages with a difference in Cumbria

When Kathreen and Mike Burns decided to convert their barn at Low Flanders near Carlisle, they had a vision of the holiday accommodation they wanted to create – luxurious and indulgent, making the most of outdoor as well as indoor space and a great base for exploring the best of what’s on the doorstep.

After months of hard work, perseverance and imagination, Dandelion and Hoglet Cottages were ready for visitors in the summer of 2020.

The names might sound as if they’re inspired by Beatrix Potter but they’re actually taken from the dandelion clocks in the surrounding fields and the baby hedgehog that sometimes visits our garden.Kathreen Burns
